Pre-convention online workshops offered by David Farland  and other awesome instructors! No extra registration required. The pre-convention offerings are included in your Virtual World Fantasy Convention membership.

Icebreaker Breakouts – meet each other, practice hopping from one virtual room to another, and maybe even win a prize!

Pre-convention online workshops continue with more opportunities to learn from the pros.

World Fantasy Convention begins!

Virtual World Fantasy Convention 2020’s official programming kicks off! Enjoy discussion panels and readings by some of the fantasy and horror genres’ best.

6 p.m.

Opening Ceremony – This year’s opening ceremony will include entertainment by Tracy Hickman, opening remarks by our toastmasters, an introduction to our guests, and information to help you make the most of this year’s convention.

7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Black Women in Fantasy. Join Eugen Bacon, Sheree Renée Thomas, and Christine Taylor-Butler for a discussion conducted and sponsored by Utah Humanities. Note: this session will be open to the public

It’s party time! Grab your favorite beverage and mingle with your fellow WFC members in video breakout rooms. You may choose to visit a variety of topic-oriented rooms (rum tasting, anyone?) or make arrangements to pop into a room with your chums.

More small group gatherings, only with different topics and maybe even a few book launch parties! Our doorbells will get a workout from trick-or-treaters, so we might even get a glimpse of some awesome little ghouls and fairy princesses.

2020 World Fantasy Award Ceremony – Always the highlight of every WFC, this year’s award ceremony is one you won’t want to miss. Enjoy speeches by our toastmasters and honored guests, and then learn who will receive the coveted World Fantasy Award statues.

5 p.m.

Final programming – the chairs of Virtual WFC 2020 and WFC 2021 will be on hand to hear your feedback and suggestions. Or attend the WFA Judges’ panel and hear them discuss the selection process of this year’s award winners.

6 p.m.

The official close of the 2020 World Fantasy Convention. We’ll see you next year in Montreal!
